Oh, Sunday

Good Morning, and welcome to my first post.  I've been waiting to feel authorish, but that's not happening, so I'll just gab.

I've always loved to work with my hands, and learned to embroider in my early teens.  I also  garden, cook, bake, tat, crochet, quilt, and sew. Pretty much anything with a needle and thread gets me excited. Same with food.  And dirt, can't get enough of that either.  When my daughter was young I made most of her clothes and many of mine.  Until one day, while finishing a suit I had been working on for days, ( set in waistband, fully lined, tailored to fit on my dressmaker dummy) I realized I was done.  Not with the suit, but with sewing in general.  Really, really finished.  I threw the suit in the trash, donated the dressmaker dummy, and haven't sewn a stitch of clothing since.

One day a couple of months ago I was at my sister Kerry's house and she was showing me a few of her newest projects (you can follow her blog at www.inyourbonnet.blogspot.com).  She had a few beads that she had used to embellish her City Bucket, and said she would like to find them in some specific colors and sizes.  I stopped at the craft store on my way home, picked up a few blocks of Fimo clay, and have been hooked from the first minute I opened the package.

I've started selling my beads and buttons at craft and quilt groups.  They seem to really like them, so I've decided to expand and offer hand crafted beads, buttons, flat head dressmaker pins and many other items to crafters, quilters, beaders, and yes, even dressmakers.

I'll have my logo and all of the fancy blog stuff up by the end of this week if everything goes according to schedule (does that ever really happen?), including pic's of my items and how to purchase

In the meantime, I'd love to hear from you.  You can email me at BeadsKeeper@gmail.com.

Going to go throw my sewing machine out the window.   Have a great day.  Lynda Rose
